Journal Services

The International Journal of Ayush Darpan (IJAD) provides scholarly editorial and publication services to support responsible research communication in Ayurveda, Yoga, AYUSH systems, traditional medicine, complementary health approaches, and integrative health.

All services are provided according to the journal’s editorial policies, publication-ethics requirements, and commitment to academic integrity. The availability of author support does not influence manuscript acceptance.

Manuscript Submission

IJAD accepts manuscripts related to the journal’s Aim and Scope, including:

  • Original research articles

  • Review articles

  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses

  • Clinical studies

  • Case reports and case series

  • Research protocols

  • Short communications

  • Perspectives and commentaries

  • Editorials

  • Letters to the editor

Before submitting, authors should review the Author Guidelines, Peer Review Policy, Publication Ethics Policy, Open Access Policy, and Article Processing Charges Policy.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee peer review, acceptance, or publication.

Initial Editorial Screening

Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial assessment to determine whether it:

  • Falls within the journal’s Aim and Scope

  • Meets basic scholarly and formatting requirements

  • Presents original and relevant work

  • Includes required ethical declarations

  • Provides sufficient information for editorial evaluation

  • Complies with the journal’s submission policies

A manuscript may be returned for technical corrections, declined without external review, or forwarded for peer review.

Similarity and Ethical-Compliance Assessment

Submitted manuscripts may be assessed using similarity-detection software or other editorial review methods.

Similarity reports are evaluated in context. A single similarity percentage is not used as an automatic basis for acceptance or rejection.

The editorial assessment may also consider:

  • Plagiarism

  • Duplicate or redundant publication

  • Inappropriate text reuse

  • Authorship concerns

  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

  • Missing ethical approval

  • Inadequate informed-consent information

  • Fabricated or manipulated data, images, or citations

  • Undisclosed material use of generative artificial intelligence

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that successfully complete initial editorial screening will ordinarily undergo double-blind peer review.

Original research articles, clinical studies, systematic reviews, and review articles are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

The identities of authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process to the extent reasonably possible.

Reviewer recommendations are advisory. Final editorial decisions are based on:

  • Originality

  • Scholarly or scientific quality

  • Methodological appropriateness

  • Ethical compliance

  • Relevance to the journal

  • Clarity and accuracy

  • Reviewer recommendations

  • Adequacy of author revisions

Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, resubmission for review, or rejection.

Author Support

The Editorial Office provides reasonable assistance concerning:

  • Journal scope and manuscript suitability

  • Submission requirements

  • Required manuscript files

  • Manuscript formatting

  • Anonymization for double-blind review

  • Ethical declarations

  • Conflict-of-interest statements

  • Author-contribution statements

  • Revision procedures

  • Responses to reviewer comments

  • Publication policies

  • Corrections and appeals

Author support does not include writing a manuscript on behalf of an author, fabricating data, creating false citations, guaranteeing acceptance, or bypassing peer review.

Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, language, research integrity, and ethical compliance of their submissions.

Editorial Decision and Revision Management

When revisions are requested, authors must submit:

  • A revised manuscript

  • A point-by-point response to reviewer and editor comments

  • A version showing changes, when requested

  • A clean final version

A request for revision does not guarantee acceptance.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the assigned editor, depending on the nature and extent of the changes.

Publication Preparation

Accepted manuscripts may undergo:

  • Editorial review

  • Copyediting

  • Reference and citation checks

  • Formatting

  • Table and figure assessment

  • Author proofreading

  • Preparation for online publication

  • Assignment of volume, issue, and article information

Authors must review and approve publication proofs within the time specified by the journal. Only essential corrections should ordinarily be made during proofreading.

Open-Access Publication

IJAD provides immediate open access to published articles without reader subscription fees or registration requirements.

Unless otherwise stated, published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.

Online Journal Access

IJAD provides online access to:

  • Current issues

  • Archived issues

  • Article abstracts

  • Full-text articles

  • Author and affiliation information

  • Citation details

  • Journal policies

  • Calls for papers

  • Editorial announcements

The journal currently operates as an online-only publication.

DOI Registration

DOI registration for published articles is planned.

IJAD will assign and advertise DOIs only after an active DOI-registration arrangement has been established. Until then, the journal does not guarantee DOI assignment.

Indexing and Discoverability

IJAD is a newly established journal and does not claim inclusion in an abstracting, indexing, cataloging, or discovery service unless inclusion has been formally confirmed and can be independently verified.

After regular publication begins and eligibility requirements are met, IJAD will pursue appropriate opportunities for scholarly indexing and discoverability.

Application to or consideration by an organization does not guarantee acceptance.

Repository and Sharing Support

Authors may deposit their submitted, accepted, or published manuscripts in appropriate institutional, university, subject, or research repositories in accordance with the journal’s copyright and licensing policies.

Repository records should include:

  • Article title

  • Author names

  • Journal title

  • Volume and issue

  • Publication year

  • Page range or article number

  • DOI, when available

  • Link to the published version

Corrections and Publication-Record Support

The journal accepts requests and concerns involving:

  • Corrections

  • Corrigenda

  • Authorship concerns

  • Expressions of concern

  • Retractions

  • Publication-ethics complaints

  • Editorial appeals

Requests must clearly identify the manuscript or published article and provide relevant supporting information.

The journal will determine the appropriate response according to the nature of the concern and the need to preserve an accurate scholarly record.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions will not be influenced by publication charges, advertising, sponsorship, donations, personal relationships, or commercial interests.

No editorial or author-support service guarantees manuscript acceptance or publication.

Article Processing Charges

There is currently no manuscript-submission fee or Article Processing Charge.

If a publication charge is introduced in the future, the exact amount, currency, payment stage, waiver conditions, and refund policy will be published before the charge applies.

Any future payment will not guarantee acceptance or publication.
